The outcome
Produce a technically valid, visually justified master with controlled local or cloud processing and predictable render cost.
Step by step
A workflow you can repeat.
- 01
Inspect the source codec, resolution, frame rate, cadence, interlace, color, audio, defects, rights, delivery specification, and representative difficult scenes.
- 02
Confirm hardware, storage, model, license, and cloud privacy requirements, then isolate short tests containing faces, motion, texture, noise, text, and scene cuts.
- 03
Compare a small model matrix with conservative settings, identical export parameters, and no frame interpolation unless the delivery actually requires it.
- 04
Evaluate native-size stills and normal-speed playback for invented detail, waxy texture, halos, temporal shimmer, ghosting, cadence, stabilization crop, color, and audio sync.
- 05
Lock the winning preset, render to a versioned intermediate, run automated media checks and full human QC, and preserve source, settings, logs, and rollback.
Working standard
What good use looks like.
- Benchmark representative short scenes.
- Compare at native size and normal speed.
- Separate enhancement from frame-rate changes.
